A season ago, one of the best wide receivers of the era looked like they might be on his last legs.
Davante Adams was in the frigid cold of New York playing on a hapless Jets team with friend and former Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, playing meaningless November football as they trudged through another lost season.

Not only has he been rejuvenated in L.A., playing alongside MVP frontrunner Matthew Stafford, but at 32, he is the happiest he has been playing in the NFL.
"I'm real grateful to play for a team like this," he said in the post-game press conference after securing two more touchdowns in a blowout of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday Night Football. "… From the celebrations to the intense moments, we just find a way to enjoy it."
After signing a two-year, $44 million contract with the Rams and replacing former triple crown winner Cooper Kupp in the starting lineup, Adams has been undeniable in the red zone. Stafford and Adams have made anything within five yards of the goal line their personal playground, Adams feasting on one-on-one matchups on fade and post routes. He leads all wide receivers with 12 touchdowns on the season.
While he's played on some incredible teams in his career, most notably with Rodgers in Green Bay, Adams made a profound statement on this current Rams team on Sunday Night. In his 12th season in the NFL, Los Angeles has become his new home, for the present and maybe even the foreseeable future.
