When will Omarion Hampton play? Chargers open up practice window

The Chargers have opened the 21-day practice window for rookie running back Omarion Hampton as of Tuesday, according to head coach Jim Harbaugh.

The team now has 21 days to activate Hampton to the 53-man roster. If he is not activated within this period, he would revert to season-ending injured reserve.

Hampton has been on injured reserve (IR) since Week 5 after suffering anankle injury against the Commanders.

Hampton could be activated in time to play in the Week 13 game against the Raiders on Sunday. His status for that game will be determined by his progress in practice this week.

When asked how the carry split between Hampton and Kimani Vidal will be, Harbaugh responded, "We'll see how the week goes."

Before his injury, Hampton was highly productive, tallying 86 total touches for 450 yards and two touchdowns.
