Stranger Things has achieved a rare, record-breaking streaming feat before season 5 even releases, another first for Netflix's biggest original series. Stranger Things season 5 begins with part 1 on Wednesday, November 26 at 8 p.m. ET. The episodes mark the beginning of the end for the decade-long sci-fi series, which became one of Netflix's biggest originals ever made.
But, according to Netflix, the show broke one more record prior to season 5. Stranger Things is the first series on Netflix to have four seasons in the global Top 10 at the same time. For the week of November 17 to November 23, 2025, all four seasons have taken spots on the streamer's Top 10 most-watched English language TV shows.
According to the list, season 1 is at Number 3 worldwide, followed by season 4 at Number 5, season 2 at Number 7, and season 3 at Number 9. All four seasons have made it onto the Top 10 lists of dozens of countries around the world, confirming a global resurgence for the show ahead of season 5's approaching premiere.

This impressive, previously unseen feat isn't too surprising considering how lucrative the series' viewership has been for Netflix. Stranger Things season 4 ended up becoming the Number 3 most-watched English language TV season of all time on the platform, sporting 1.838 billion hours watched across 140.7 million views. That number will keep climbing thanks to its latest Top 10 placement.
The global resurgence indicates plenty of catching-up is happening worldwide ahead of season 5. While part 1 will bring with it the first four episodes on November 26, part 2 will arrive with three more episodes on December 25, Christmas Day, at 8 p.m. ET. The series finale will arrive on December 31, New Year's Eve, also at 8 p.m. ET.

Although the series is already a massive hit for the platform, its worldwide interest just before season 5 demonstrates just how big a cornerstone it's been for Netflix. Stranger Things' characters have become modern classic heroes, something that will be difficult for the streamer to replicate once the show finally comes to a close.
With the series achieving yet another massive feat for Netflix before season 5 even drops, Stranger Things continues to demonstrate why it will be cemented into the streamer's history once it wraps up. No matter how the final episodes of the series play out, the show has made its mark on pop culture history, and now, has set yet another record in Netflix's.
