As Ohio State football prepares for the trip to Ann Arbor to face Michigan, Ryan Day will have a conversation with the Buckeyes to avoid a repeat of the fight that occurred in the postgame of last year's rivalry matchup.

"We're just going to talk about how we handle ourselves on and off the field to make sure everybody is prepared," Day said.

Following Michigan's upset 13-10 victory over the Buckeyes to close out the regular season, Wolverines players mimicked planting their team flag in the center of the Block O logo at Ohio Stadium.

Upon realizing what was happening, multiple Buckeyes players confronted the Wolverines at midfield, leading to a scuffle that took police from both universities and the Franklin County Sheriff's Office to break up.

Ohio State and Michigan were fined over $100,000 due to the altercation.

At Big Ten media day this summer, Michigan coach Sherrone Moore said he'd addressed what happened with the Wolverines, and there will be no more flag-planting, even though the game is being played on their home field this year.

"Go meet the band," Moore said. "Go sing '(Hail to) the Victors,' and stay over there until the other team departs. ... That's how we'll operate. Shake hands after the game. Show sportsmanship. Be cordial."

Moore echoed his message from July in the week leading up to the game set for Nov. 29.

"We talked about that at the beginning of the year, and we’ve been pretty good about any postgame interactions," Moore said.

"When we win a game, or … when you end the game, we’re going to go to our student section, go to our band and shake hands. Cordial ending and be done with it, and that’s it. So, our guys have been good about that and will continue to do that."
