RB Leipzig teenager Assan Ouedraogo is sidelined for the time being with a knee injury, the Bundesliga champions said a week after he scored in his maiden Germany cap.
Leipzig said on Tuesday that the 19-year-old Ouedraogo suffered a tendon injury in the back of his left knee during Sunday's 2-0 victory over Werder Bremen where hew had opened the scoring with a stunning goal.

Ouedraogo got his first senior team call-up for the recent World Cup qualifiers against Luxembourg and Slovakia. He came on as a substitute against Slovakia last week Monday and netted shortly after in Germany's 6-0 triumph.
"It's incredibly sad that Assan is now set for a spell on the sidelines. He was doing very well over the last few weeks, during which time he was even able to make his senior debut for Germany," Leipzig managing director for sport Marcel Schäfer said.
"The news of his injury is a blow to both him and to us as a team. We wish Assan all the best for a quick and full recovery."

Leipzig are second in the Bundesliga, six points behind Bayern Munich. They next play at mid-table Borussia Mönchengladbach on Friday.
