Nebraska volleyball clinches share of Big Ten title in sweep over Iowa

Nebraska (27-0, 17-0) returned home to battle conference neighbor, Iowa (14-15, 5-12) on Thursday night. The Huskers grabbed another sweep on the season, improving to 27-0 for the second time in three years and earning a share of the Big Ten title.

Nebraska can outright take the conference crown if it wins one more match. This would be the Huskers' third-straight conference title, a feat they haven't achieved since 2004-2008. It would also make Dani Busboom Kelly the first coach in Big Ten history to win the conference title in her first year as head coach at the school.

Nebraska dominated once again, even when Iowa managed to stay close behind in the second and third sets. The Huskers finished the night with 45 kills off 86 attacks, earning an attack percentage of .384. Nebraska also posted 34 digs, nine blocks and six service aces, all the while holding Iowa to a .073 with 29 kills off 96 attacks.

Harper Murray led the charge for Nebraska, finishing with a team-high 11 kills off 23 attacks. She also earned six digs, a block and a service ace. Andi Jackson also cracked double digits in kills, tallying 10 off 14 attacks. Virginia Adriano struck from the service line, grabbing three aces on the night. She also earned nine kills off 14 attacks.

Taylor Landfair grabbed seven kills, and Rebekah Allick tallied five and posted a team-high six blocks. Bergen Reilly rounded out the Huskers' front, snatching a team-high seven digs, hitting two kills off four attacks, grabbing 34 set assists and putting up four blocks.

The Huskers travel east for their final road match of the regular season, taking on No. 17 Indiana on Sunday night. The first serve is set for 5 p.m. on B1G+.
