With Shedeur Sanders being named the starter in Cleveland going forward, with all of the hype surrounding the fifth-round rookie, positive or negative, Gabriel will now be an afterthought unless Sanders goes down with an injury, or starts not to play well, then, as you know, the backup QB is the most popular guy on the team.

QB controversy was always going to be there for Cleveland, having five QBs at one point. Don't forget about Deshaun Watson, who will be back soon from injury. So what will Gabriel do now? Honestly, the Browns are playing the San Francisco 49ers in Week 13, and anything could happen. Gabriel could be thrust back into the rotation in a week. Although unlikely.
Several teams will be searching for quarterbacks in some form or fashion during the offseason. Will the New Orleans Saints make a call for Gabriel? The Atlanta Falcons? Miami Dolphins? Either way, this may be the start of something special for Gabriel during the offseason if he lands on a team that will be a little more patient.
