Manchester United scouting RB Leipzig midfielder Assan Ouedraogo

Manchester United are one of the clubs scouting RB Leipzig midfielder Assan Ouedraogo ahead of the summer transfer window,

according to Sky Sports Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg. Man United want reinforcements in the middle of the park at the Old Trafford club with Casemiro likely to leave at the end of the season. The Red Devils have been linked with a couple of midfielders in recent months, and Ouedraogo has also caught their attention.

The 6ft 3in 19-year-old Germany international is ‘built for the Premier League’, and he has ‘remarkable technical ability‘ Man United could do with. Ouedraogo is also a brilliant passer who loves to often drop deep, and he could be the perfect replacement for Casemiro. The teenager has three goals and four assists in 12 appearances across all competitions for the Bundesliga club this term, and his breakthrough campaign could not have started any better.

Man United are not the only Premier League club keen on Ouedraogo, and more suitors will be joining them and Chelsea in the coming months in the pursuit of his services.
