Nov. 24—BEMIDJI — Following the Bemidji State men's hockey team's six-point sweep over Northern Michigan, three players are averaging a point per game or better.

All three of them play on the same line.

Senior forward and alternate captain Adam Flammang has six goals and 14 assists in 14 games. It's already eclipsed his single-season high (18 points in 2024-25). Flammang is tied with Michigan's Michael Hage with the sixth-most points in the country.

Junior center Oliver Peer leads the Beavers in goals with 10 in 16 games. He has 19 points this season, one behind Flammang and tied with five other players for the eighth-most in the nation.

Junior forward Kasper Magnussen just had his most productive series of the season. With three goals and one assist, he's sitting with 16 points in 16 games, which ties his output from a year ago in 37 games.

In 7-3 and 6-2 wins over Northern Michigan, they combined for six goals and seven assists.

In total, Peer, Flammang and Magnussen have combined for 55 of BSU's 154 recorded points this season. But where does the Bemidji State trio stack up against other lines in the CCHA?

Stiven Sardarian, Teydon Trembecky and Isaac Gordon work together on Michigan Tech's top line. Sardarian is tied with Peer at 19 points, but has played in two fewer games. Trembecky is tied for 18th in the conference with 12 points in 11 games. Gordon has eight points, totalling 41 for the trio in 14 games this season.

Minnesota State is in an advantageous position to take control of first place in the CCHA this weekend. The Mavericks took six points off of Michigan Tech at home and head to Marquette to play winless Northern Michigan, sitting five points behind Bemidji State. However, MSU's scoring has been more balanced than BSU's.

Luigi Benincasa, Liam Watkins and Alex Zetterberg make up Minnesota State's most high-powered line right now with 33 points in 14 games. Benincasa has a team-high 15 points on five goals and 10 assists.

No player in the CCHA has more points per game than St. Thomas' Alex Gaffney. With 19 in 13 games, he's averaging 1.46 compared to Flammang's 1.43. But Gaffney's supporting staff hasn't been as productive as Flammang's so far.

Gaffney played on the wing against Bowling Green this weekend, with Lucas Wahlin and Ryan O'Neill beside him. The trio has combined for 39 points in 13 games, which is roughly half a point less than Peer, Flammang and Magnussen have averaged per game.

Bowling Green's top line of Quinn Emerson, Noah Morneau and Dominik Rymon arguably poses the biggest argument against them. While they've combined for 36 points in 12 games, the triad of Falcons has surged in November.

Emerson has 10 of his team-leading 14 points this month and has had multi-point games in three of his last four. Nine of Morneau's 12 points have come in November. Rymon has seven of his 10 points this month as well.

While line combinations are always fluid, the trios that work tend to stay together. Through one third of the season, Peer, Flammang and Magnussen have proven to be the toughest line to slow down in the CCHA.

It's an argument that's in the early stages of forming outside the CCHA as well. No line has produced more points than Minnesota Duluth's Max Plante, Zam Plante and Jayson Shaugabay (69 in 16 games).

Michigan has two lines in the running. Hage, Will Horcoff and Nick Moldenhauer have totaled 53 points in 16 games after playing together last weekend against Ohio State. TJ Huges, Jayden Perron and Adam Valentini have combined for 56 points.

Like every team, Penn State has jumbled its lines, but one trio stands out. Carlie Cerrato, JJ Wiebusch and Matt DiMarsico have netted 57 points after playing together in a road series against Minnesota last weekend.
