Three-star linebacker Jakore Smith is no longer committed to OU football, he announced on Monday, months after pledging to the Sooners.

Smith, a high school senior, holds offers from Arkansas, Memphis and others.

A 6-foot, 195-pound linebacker from Bryant High School (Arkansas), Smith initially committed to OU in May after visiting a few times last year.

The Sooners' 2026 class now sits at 21 commitments following Smith's departure. OU still holds a commitment from three-star linebacker Beau Jandreau.

Even at this late stage in the 2026 cycle, the Sooners appear to be picking up momentum, welcoming several visitors to campus over the past month. Saturday's LSU game is expected to be a massive recruiting weekend for OU.
