Cibolo (Texas) Steele Rivals300 running back Jonathan Hatton Jr. has flipped his commitment from Texas A&M back to Oklahoma, bringing his process full circle.
The Aggies turned Hatton their way in March but with just over a week until the three-day National Signing Day period begins on Dec. 3, he found his way back to Brent Venables and the Sooners.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementRunning backs coach DeMarco Murray is the lead recruiter for the four-star Hatton who becomes commit No. 23 for Oklahoma in the 2026 class. Hatton ranks as the Rivals Industry’s No. 5 running back and No. 83 prospect overall.
“The environment at those games is unbelievable, and it is like a family over there at Oklahoma,” Hatton has told Rivals Hayes Fawcett in the past. “It’s like a brotherhood and just feels like home.”
As a senior Steele carried 159 times for 1,308 yards and 16 touchdowns. He rushed for 1,147 yards and 14 scores as a junior.
Hatton adds to a class Rivals previously ranked No. 19 nationally.
