For the third separate time Greg Olson will call the Raiders offense. Today, less than 24 hours since Chip Kelly was fired as the team's offensive coordinator, Olson has been named interim OC.

Olson was first the Raiders OC in 2013-14 under Dennis Allen and then Tony Sparano. He returned as OC and QB coach under Jon Gruden from 2018-21, first in Oakland and then Las Vegas. He returned this offseason as QB coach and after 12 games in that role, he's back.

He takes over an offense that is currently ranked 31st in the league in points scored and 30th in yards. Their offensive line has been the worst aspect of the offense, both in terms of protection and run blocking. The wide receiver corps is also wholly lacking in talent especially after the trade that sent Jakobi Meyers to Jacksonville just prior to the trade deadline.
